Thrive Market
Down to Earth Zine
Thrive Market aimed to take Earth Month offline by offering members something tangible they could hold, save, and return to. Down to Earth was a concept I developed with the team, transforming blog content, recipes, and sourcing stories into a collectible print zine. As Art Director, I developed the color palette and led photography direction, establishing the visual foundation the design team built on.
The color palette came to life from a single image: the kale pesto pasta, one of my favorites from the zine. A burst of orange, echoing sungold tomatoes, set the tone. Earthy greens, warm neutrals, and soft accents created a visual foundation that held consistently across design, typography, and photography. I curated imagery that felt real and relatable, like hands picking fruit, simple ingredients, and meals shared around a table. The goal was to show that sustainable living is approachable.
Printed on 100% recycled paper, the zine blends editorial storytelling, design, and photography to make mindful living feel inviting. The project resonated so strongly with our marketing team that it inspired them to create another zine for our "Sharing Our Table" campaign, demonstrating how thoughtful creative can deepen member connection and elevate Thrive's mission beyond promotions.
