Thrive Market

Stories from the Source

Stories From the Source shares the stories of farmers and the regenerative practices behind Thrive Market's owned-brand products. Sourcing stories are often easy to claim but hard to prove, so as the series' photography lead, I traveled to farms across California to show our process firsthand. The work lives across our social channels, blog, and in Thrive Market's annual impact report.

Cobram Estate is a California olive oil producer committed to sustainable farming, rapid harvest-to-mill processing, and resource conservation, and the source behind Thrive Market's own olive oil.

Pitman Family Farms is a third-generation poultry operation raising organic, free-range chicken with a focus on animal welfare and sustainable farming practices. Their birds are the source behind Thrive Market's chicken.

Manzana Orchards is a Sonoma County apple farm that uses dry-farming and sustainable growing practices to honor both the land and generations of family farming. Their harvest becomes Thrive Market's applesauce jars, cups, and pouches. Lower-grade apples are pressed into apple cider vinegar, so nothing goes to waste.
